This was a very unusual spark of spontaneous inspiration perhaps brought on by all the dirt cheap vintage fur garments I've noticed lately at my local thrift store. His body is that of two tones of mink scarf, his mane/tail tuft that of fox trim, and a spot of rabbit for the chin. The tummy is brown either because there wasn't enough honey-toned stuff to work with or cause he's actually a Barbary lion. I prefer the second excuse. >_>
Divisive rant ahead: I AM AGAINST FUR. I'd have no problem seeing it disappear from the planet altogether. As a plush artist, hollowed out skins being filled and presented as "plushies" makes me want to vomit. So does pretty much any killing of animals that isn't necessary for survival. I want to make that clear for those who know me well enough to wonder why I'd make a teddy out of mink. I would only in good conscience use pelts from items that are second-hand discards such as that from the thrift store that don't register on the market's radar to perpetuate demand. While they're hanging around for peanuts, I find it far more respectful to make artistic use of them than to pretend they belong on our jacket cuffs. Plus I can't lie, it's much too satisfying to take a seam ripper and hack away at these unnecessary garments. Divisive rant out.

You've probably been asked this a lot, but...is he still around, or was he a commission? I'd soooo figure out a way to save up to buy him.... owo
